Elephas maximus !

Asian elephant Elephas maximus is the scientific name for Asian Elephant. The living genus of the elephants is Elephas and the species of Elephas maximus. Elephants are the largest living land animal in Asia. The species is mostly found in Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Indochina and parts of Nepal and Indonesia (mainly in Borneo), Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Burma, China, Bhutan, and Sumatra. Elephants are considered as a rare animal now due to habitat loss with approximately between 41,410 and 52,345 left in the wild. There are three species of elephant living today the African Bush Elephant, the African Forest Elephant and the Asian Elephant. Asian Elephants are smaller than African Elephant.
